High Street Design Consultation
Update report number 1
The consultation is now closed. Thank you very much to all those who responded either individually or via the questionnaire.
We must reiterate that this was an initial information gathering exercise on an indicative scheme and, should the funds be available, further in-depth engagement with the community would take place. Any scheme would then be drawn up in line with relevant guidance available at the time.
Several pertinent questions were raised which we are currently reviewing. A report and analysis of the questionnaire responses (which is being carried out by the Open University) will be available mid-July. The results of this public opinion gathering exercise about the proposals will help to inform the council’s thinking. The report will be considered at the next Full Council meeting on 18th July 2023.
