Events Working Group

Hello and welcome to the Events Working Group page. We are always looking for new volunteers to join us, and now more than ever. You can get involved as much as you wish, giving time on the day of an event with set-up and running activities, or help to organise and shape future events.

Who are we?

We are a small group of local volunteers, funded by the Town Council, who organise a number of events throughout the year in Stony Stratford. These include Big Lunch (June) and the Autumn Fair (October).

What help is needed?

We need help to plan, shape and run the events. This means involvement in meetings in the run up to events as well as help on the days.  This could involve set-up and decorations, directing public and potentially running activities, with a bit of tidying up afterwards.

How much time do I need to give?:

We are dependent on volunteers giving their time to help out, as such we are happy with any time you can give, even if it is just a hour or two on event days.
