Steve Ashley has long been regarded as one of British folk's finest singer-songwriters. His reputation for writing contemporary songs inspired by the English Tradition was established in 1974 Since then his songs have been recorded by many leading folk artists including Fairport Convention, Ralph McTell and Wizz Jones, O'Hooley & Tidow, Dave Pegg and PJ Wright, The Arizona Smoke Review, , Phil Beer, Maggie Boyle, The Bushwackers, The Owl Service, and Hannah Sanders

Note: Drinks at SongLoft events in The Upstairs Room are on a Bring-Your-Own basis. Events in the main hall will have a cash-only bar, and the proceeds will go to York House Centre’s community events fund.
Access to the Upstairs Room is via the rear entrance to York House, up one flight of stairs (sorry, no lift).
