Transit is the much praised , recently released film directed by German writer Christian Petzoid, based on the book by Anna Segher.
A young Jewish technician decides to impersonate a dead author and use his Mexican visa to escape from Nazi-occupied Paris. While stuck in Marseilles with any other refugees, he meets the author’s wife.
A film with compelling contemporary resonances and a great contribution to StonyWords 2020.
