Venue: York House Centre, London Road, Stony StratfordYork House Centre, London Road, Stony Stratford
Date: 04 Nov 2017
Time: 20:30 to - 23:00

"There are only a handful of people who moulded the early folk scene in America at the start of the '60s. And surely one is Jim Kweskin."
- Bentley's Bandstand, The Morton Report, 2016

Jim is now touring to launch his new CD, “Unjugged” which showcases his current repertoire.

Even if you are not quite “senior” enough to remember The Jim Kewskin Jug Band (with Geoff and Maria Muldaur) you will love the virtuosity and versatility of Jim’s solo show. He is probably best known as a singer and bandleader. He also created one of the bedrock guitar styles of the folk revival, adapting the ragtime-blues fingerpicking of artists like Blind Boy Fuller to the more complex chords of pop and jazz. He has maintained a remarkably consistent musical vision since his jug band days, continuing to explore traditional folk and blues with the sophisticated sensibility of a jazz musician and jazz with the communal simplicity of a folk artist.
