The next FoSSL (Friends of Stony Stratford Library) talk will be held on Thursday 18th May at 7pm and will be a question and answer session with James Hildreth, to discuss his life as a professional cricketer.
Born in 1984, James grew up in Stony Stratford before moving to Millfield School Somerset.He subsequently represented England at U15 and U19 as a batsman / medium pace bowler. From 2002 he represented Somerset County Cricket Club until retiring during the summer of 2022 During his 20 year professional career he amassed 28000 runs for Somerset County in all forms of first class cricket. This summer James will be playing for Stony Stratford Cricket Club.
