Time: 19:00

The next FoSSL (Friends of Stony Stratford Library) talk on Zoom will be on Tuesday 26th October at 7pm. The subject of the talk will be: 'MK Gallery and Laura Knight' and we are delighted to have the Director of MK Gallery, Anthony Spira himself to deliver the talk and answer any questions you may have, either about the Gallery or about the forthcoming exhibition.

Anthony Spira has been Director of MK Gallery since 2009. Previous curatorial roles were at the Whitechapel Gallery, London and the Jeu de Paume, Paris. He has produced over 40 exhibitions and books on art, with subjects ranging from George Stubbs to Paula Rego and Nasreen Mohamedi to Mark Wallinger.

His talk will give us: A short history of MK Gallery, from its design to its role in the community, and an introduction to 'Laura Knight: A Panoramic View', the largest exhibition of her work since 1965, when she staged the first ever solo show by a woman at the Royal Academy.

Please register in the usual way by emailing me on fosslmk@gmail.com and a few days before the talk I will send everyone a link to the Zoom meeting.
