Four English Hymns: their background and why they’re so popular!
This talk will take a look at four famous English hymns: Amazing Grace, He Who Would Valiant Be, There Is A Fountain Filled With Blood, and Rock Of Ages. The talk will look briefly at the backgrounds of the writers (three of whom are local) as well as at what it is about the content of these hymns that sparks our imagination and stirs our feelings. There may even be a chance to sing them!
