The sessions will be held on Thursday evenings for 10 weeks.

Cost: £145.00.

Our Autumn course are now available to book by phone on 01908 556700, alternatively you can enrol online by clicking here.

Is this the right course for me?
This is a mixed level course which is ideal if you already have an understanding of the basic techniques such as stretching paper and using a range of brushes. There will be opportunity for students to re-visit and practise techniques they have tried before and new techniques will be introduced if there are ‘gaps’ in experience. Confidence and skill are not important as students can work at their own pace and skip activities/ spend longer on others as they wish.

What will I learn?
How other watercolour artists have used paints to create a range of effects. Students will learn to mix a range of media and experiment with basic equipment that they already own such as felt tips, fine-liner pens or biros.

How will I learn?
By looking at a range of visual aids and trying out new techniques and artist styles on a small scale. Students will then incorporate their own ideas, visual aids and aims into a personal final painting.

Will I gain a qualification?
You will not gain a formal qualification but you may receive a Certificate of Attendance from your tutor.

What can I do next?
A continuation course is offered next term. CLMK offers a range of other evening and daytime courses for learners who wish to move on to working in a different medium.

What do I need to bring to the classes?
Any painting and drawing materials that you have, to include watercolour paints, brushes, palette, drawing board, gum strip, drawing pencil, eraser and watercolour paper. Please do not purchase any items until you are sure the class will run which is usually about 1 week beforehand.

Can I talk to someone about my course before I start it?
It is usually possible to put you directly in touch with the tutor if a member of the CLMK staff cannot answer your query.
