Latest Update: Fullers Slade Estate Renewal - September 2021

The renewal of Fullers Slade is gathering pace and plans are forming on how the estate can look in the future, taking forward Option 3 which was the preferred option at ballot in November 2019. We now have the Fullers Slade Estate Renewal Forum (FSERF) established, representing the
community and overseeing key themes such as community safety, the environment, housing, health and wellbeing and jobs and skills.

The FSERF is working in partnership with Milton Keynes Council and wants to engage more with the community to hear their views and represent them. The FSERF is made up of residents and others including councillors, local business representatives and Milton Keynes officers. Sub-groups looking at housing, communication and the community have been set up. The FSERF is keen for more residents from Fullers Slade to get involved and join these sub-groups, it’s a great way to find out what is happening as well as helping shape how the estate develops. We’d also welcome feedback from residents on what is important to you for the renewal of Fullers Slade. If you’d like to find out more, or aren’t sure how much time you can commit, get in touch as we can help and have a chat. The FSERF has a new dedicated email: FullersSladeERF@milton-keynes.gov.uk. If you have any questions or issues you would like to let us know about, feel free to get in touch.

Your Community Engagement Officer at Milton Keynes Council is Sasha Childs, you can contact Sasha at:
Sasha.Childs@milton-keynes.gov.uk or on 07557 318943.

Estate Renewal Forum
MK Council has agreed a new Community-led Estate Renewal and Regeneration Strategy.  This is more targeted at regeneration schemes that we have yet to begin engagement on.

We will continue working with the community on our proposals in Fullers Slade and establish an Estate Renewal Forum.  The forum, made up of community stakeholders, will be supported by a Community Engagement Officer and will be an important group to help local people shape future proposals.

We will be approaching organisations in the next few weeks to establish the forum, but if you have any suggestions about membership please do get in touch on the details above.

Thanking the RSG
We recently received notice from the RSG about their decision to dissolve the group.  We'd like to thank them for their good work and for supporting the community through the ballot process.

This naturally leads us on to establishing the Estate Renewal Forum which we have been speaking to the community about recently.  We look forward to working with the whole community to deliver on the proposals that residents voted for through the new forum.

Next steps
Work is continuing on the appointment of the professional team.  This team will work with both MK Council and the local community in preparing the planning application, which we intend to submit next year.

As we establish the new Estate Renewal Forum we will set up a timeline which will allow plenty of opportunities for you to engage with the architects and other members of the team.  We expect to hold design workshops and surgeries in the new year where you will be able share your ideas.
