Removal of Temporary Footway, High Street, Stony Stratford

Milton Keynes Highways will be working on the High Street, Stony Stratford this month to remove the temporary footway installed in summer 2020 as part of the response to the Covid-19 pandemic to keep local high streets safe.

The extra footway was a short-term measure to provide additional width where needed to help pedestrians to socially distance especially where there may be queues outside shops.

Highways will begin to remove the temporary footway from Monday 17th January. The works should be completed by Friday 21st January, weather permitting.

These works will take place between 9:30am and 4:30pm to minimise disruption. Details about these works and other planned roadworks for MK can be viewed at https://one.network/.

Access for deliveries to businesses and 24/7 emergency vehicle access will be maintained.
