Internal Drainage Board Works in Stony Stratford

The Internal Drainage Board, in collaboration with Milton Keynes Council and The Parks Trust, will be carrying out some works in Stony Stratford to reduce flood risk. They will be starting this work on 11th October - this will involve some de-silting, some vegetation and tree limb removal and possibly the removal of small culverts (which will be replaced by duckboard walkways where required). The works will take around two weeks and will encompass the areas on the map below.
The work will commence at the back of the old gas works, and will then proceed across Queen Eleanor Street, working from the bird box to the confluence of the watercourse there with the Ouse. The work should be finished by week commencing 24th October 2022.
