Stony Stratford Cricket Club
There is evidence that cricket has been played in Stony Stratford from the late 1800s and Stony Stratford Cricket Club was officially founded in 1869. This grand old cricket club is located to the north of the town and is one of the few in the area which is still based in a traditionally made cricket pavilion dating back to the 1930’s.
This club is a host to passionate cricket lovers of all ages; as players, scorers, umpires, volunteers and spectators. Today the club has 5 teams in the Northamptonshire Cricket League, two Women’s teams, a Sunday side and a highly successful youth set up, catering for over 200 boys and 60 girls from Under 7s to Under 19s level. The club has players of all ages and levels of ability; ultimately there is cricket for everyone in Stony Stratford Cricket Club.
