Stony Play Readers – part of Stony Stratford Theatre Society – meets several times a year on Thursday early evenings in Stony Stratford Library to read plays in an informal, friendly atmosphere. So far, we’ve read J.B.Priestly’s An Inspector Calls and The Rose and Crown; Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest; Bernard Shaw’s Androcles and the Lion; Mike Leigh’s Abigails’s Party and for Stony Words 2019 the group presented a rehearsed reading of Murder at the Chateau, by Stony writer, Joe Laredo. The forthcoming readings are plays by Alan Ayckbourn.
New readers are welcome. No experience is needed, and scripts are provided.
