Stony Open Gardens

Stony Open Gardens 2021 postponed Stony Open Gardens - 2021 Update

After much consideration we have decided that it will not be possible to stage Stony Open Gardens this year - even with the more relaxed Covid-19 rules due to be in force towards the end of June. We have to ensure visitors and gardeners are safe and whilst some gardeners were happy, the majority had reservations, and were not keen to open their gardens.

Stony Virtual Open Gardens

Stony Open Gardens takes place in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes over a weekend every other summer. However this year is very much an unusual year with all of the Willen charity shops closed during lockdown, and their fundraising activities postponed or cancelled. To try and help out at this difficult time, Stony Open Gardens are raising funds for Willen Hospice by producing a virtual version of Stony Open Gardens.

The videos are now on our website www.stonyopengardens.info, available for everyone to view. There is no charge but we hope that everyone who views the garden videos will give generously via our JustGiving page which is linked to the website.

In 2019 Stony Open Gardens raised £15,440 for Willen Hospice. We do not expect to raise as much for the virtual version – but we will do our best!  We hope to stage a conventional Stony Open Gardens in June 2021. Watch this space for further details nearer the time.

Stony Open Gardens

Stony Open Gardens takes place in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes over a weekend every other summer. We aim to have in the region of 30 gardens around Stony open to the public, which in previous years has included two allotments, a Community Garden and a school garden. More recently visitors have also enjoyed art exhibitions and music and art in the gardens. The houses and gardens reflect a rich variety of historic and modern architectural styles and approaches.
