Stony Tracks - December

Venue: York House Centre, London Road, Stony StratfordYork House Centre, London Road, Stony Stratford
Date: 13 Dec 2017

Stony Tracks  is a new fundraising event for York House held on the second Wednesday of each month. Entry is £5.00 and tickets are available from York House and Odells. At each show, Derek Gibbons will be in conversation with a local resident about their life, and playing some of their favourite music. (sound familiar?).

All proceeds will go to York House, and the first guest on November 8th was the chairman of York House, Mr Ken Daniels.

The guest for December 13th is the man who had the idea of emptying the library of all books when it was threatened with closure, Mr Dave Quayle, self-confessed "lapsed librarian". Stony has often had the pleasure of Dave's wry poetry, and he is a great supporter of many events in the town.

A small bar will open by 7.30pm for the purchase of beers, wines, and soft drinks. Bar proceeds also go to York House.

Future shows will also be advertised on the towns notice boards.

BACKGROUND AND HISTORY
The big difference with the radio show, is not only that it’s in front of an audience, but it will feature photos of the guests life on a big screen.
Each shows lasts approximately and hour, and after a short interval, the floor is thrown open to the audience to ask their own questions.
The first event raised a total of over £300 which will go towards York House's many community and arts events.
