Full Council

Full Council meetings are held on the third Tuesday every other month at 7pm. Please refer to this website or the Town Council noticeboards for the meeting location nearer the time.


Admission of the public and media

The Council welcomes members of the public to its meetings in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admission to Meeting) Act 1960.  Members of the public may make representations, answer questions and give evidence at a meeting which they are entitled to attend in respect of business on the agenda (SSTC Standing Orders 3e).

Who goes?

All the Town Councillors, the Town Clerk Lynne Compton and the Contracts and Deputy Town Clerk Karen Hiser attend. MK Councillors and community organisations are also invited to attend. These meetings are a good opportunity for people living and working in the parish to raise any concerns they may have.

What is usually discussed at Full Council meetings?

Any business that is either the responsibility of the Town Council or can be influenced by the Town Council. For a copy of the Standing Orders please see here.

The Full Council meetings to May 2021 are:
19 May 2020, 23 June 2020 - Extraordinary Meeting, 21 July 2020, 15 September 2020, 17 November 2020, 19 January 2021, 16 March 2021 & 18 May 2021.

Always check the dates nearer the time in case the meeting needs to be changed.

21st July 2020
The advice from the National Association of Local Councils is that Councils should continue to meet remotely until further notice. We welcome participation from residents and would like to invite you to put any questions in writing prior to the meeting of 21st July 2020, if possible by 17th July 2020, to enable answers to be given. Members of the public are also welcome to attend the meeting, (which is held using Microsoft Teams), please do not hesitate to contact the Town Clerk if you would like the joining instructions: office@stonystratford.gov.uk. If you do not have access to video and audio, you may also join using telephone conferencing facilities.
