Town Council Meetings

Town Council meetings are held regularly and these are a chance for you to have your say about things that concern you.

Please refer to the specific pages in this section which lists details of the Full Council meetings and the Committee meetings for the year ahead.

Details are posted on the notice boards around the town and they are also listed on the back of The Town Crier newsletter. The Town Clerk, Lynne Compton, attends all of the meetings to make sure that decisions are taken legally and then carried out properly (the Deputy Town Clerk, Sally Firth, attends the Projects meetings). The Town Clerk also advises the councillors on policy regulations and regularly talks to local and regional authorities on the Council's behalf.

Please contact the Town Council to discuss any issues you wish to raise or just come along on the evening. Time is always allocated for you to have your say at the beginning of each meeting.
