Play Schemes

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING EASTER PLAY SESSIONS WITH MILTON KEYNES PLAY ASSOCIATION: The Town Council are very disappointed to let you know that due to current Government guidelines regarding Coronavirus, MK Play Association will not be running the Easter Play sessions we had planned as follows:
Tuesday, 14th April, 10am-12.30pm, Wolverton Road Recreation Ground
Thursday, 16th April, 2-4.30pm, Fullers Slade, Spider Park
Friday, 17th April, 10am-12.30pm, Wolverton Road Recreation Ground

We hope that we may be able to hold sessions later in the year instead.

The Town Council are commited to providing free play and sports sessions in the school holidays for local children.

We currently run play sessions with the Milton Keynes Play Association (MKPA) and sports sessions with MK Dons in the Easter and Summer holidays. In 2020 the Council extended these services to run in the February Half Term and May Half Term holidays as well.

Outdoor play sessions are held at Calverton End Park and Wolverton Road Recreation Ground in Stony Stratford and Spider Park, Fullers Slade. At each play session MKPA provide a large inflatable, engaging craft activities and different fun sports. These are open access sessions for all from pre-school age up to teenagers.

The sports sessions with MK Dons are kindly hosted by Stony Stratford Football Club and offer a variety of outdoor sports such as football, tag rugby and kwik cricket. Indoor sports sessions have also been held in the winter months.

Dates for the Easter and summer holiday play sessions will be available in the events calendar on our website and Facebook page nearer the time.

Special craft and themed events are also held at Stony Stratford Library seasonally. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for special events that may be coming up.

We look forward to seeing you at there!
