Energy Saving Partnership Project with Wolverton Community Energy (WCE): Installation of Solar Photovoltaic Panels on the roof of the Library and Town Council Offices at 5-7 Church Street, MK11 1BD

We are delighted to inform you that this project is nearing completion.  Installation of the panels will commence on Monday 9th March 2020 and last for approximately two weeks (until Friday 20th March).

During this time, the 5 Parking bays (3 half-hour, 2 disabled bays) adjacent to the library will be suspended.  Please refrain from parking in these bays from Sunday 8th March 2020 and make any visitors aware. Thank you.

Scaffolding will be erected at 7 am, Monday 9th March 2020 and be in place for approximately two weeks.  We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause

This project has been made possible by the support of:

Wolverton Community Energy: Installation and future maintenance of the panels; and

Milton Keynes Council with Stony Stratford Ward Councillors: releasing the £33,950 S.106 Carbon Neutrality funds from the Elizabeth House development to pay for the project.

The result of this project will be a reduction in the Carbon Footprint of the building and in the energy bills for 5-7 Church Street. It will also support local community energy projects via Wolverton Community Energy, through the sale of any unused excess electricity generated.
