Allotments

There are 3 allotment sites in the parish owned by the Town Council. These sites are located at Wolverton Rd, London Rd and west of Queen Eleanor Street.  The Wolverton Rd site is managed directly by the Town Council.  The London Rd site is leased to the Stony Stratford Allotment and Leisure Gardeners' Association, who manage the site. The site west of Queen Eleanor Street is currently uncultivated.

NEW allotment planned for Boundary Crescent, Stony Stratford in 2011

The Town Council has agreed that it will undertake necessary works to reopen part of the old allotment site that is bounded by Boundary Crescent, Malletts Close and Queen Eleanor Street. The proposals that have been prepared will provide a total of 43 allotment plots along with the necessary infrastructure to support their use.
The Town Council is also making provision for raised beds to be built should demand from disabled gardeners become known.

The Town Council is particularly keen to hear from disabled members of our
community who would be interested in renting a raised bed when the site is reopened.
The project is being funded by a grant of £10,000 from MK Council and capital borrowing that the Town Council will be arranging. The aim is to have the new
plots ready for use for the 2011 season.
