COME & FEAST YOUR EYES ON THE STONY STRATFORD FEASTIVAL CALENDAR OF EVENTS!

WHOLE FESTIVAL EVENT (24th February to 4th March):
“Cock & Bull Take-Away Quiz” Pick up a quiz sheet from Well Past It (Timor Court – off the High Street, Stony Stratford), or York House Centre (London Road, Stony Stratford) and elsewhere. Just £1 a go, with proceeds to York House Centre. Return your answers by March 31st for a crack at a Feastival prize.
WHOLE FESTIVAL EVENT (24th February to 4th March):
“Feastival Table Centrepieces” Back to the Fuchsia, 75 High Street, Stony Stratford. For Feastival, Jill has designed and made a lovely table decoration for your next dinner party. Or you can just pop in to say hello and admire her work.
WHOLE FESTIVAL EVENT (26th February to 10th March):
“A Fair Feast in Stony” Feb 26th to March 10th at Stony Stratford Library. Free entry. Part of the local “Fairtrade Fortnight” – Where can you get wonderful coffee, tea, tasty snacks, and more and know that the producers are getting their fair share of the profits?
WHOLE FESTIVAL EVENT (24th February to 4th March):
The Stani Gallery at 61, High Street, Stony Stratford will have a window display of original paintings and other artwork, mainly by local artists, on the Feastival theme.

The Stony Stratford Oxfam Shop (High Street) is mounting a special window exhibition for Feastival.

“Frog Island Fiesta” The White Horse, 49 High Street, Stony Stratford is a popular CAMRA-listed pub and will be stocking beers from Stony’s favourite brewery. Watch out for “Natterjack”, “Shoemaker” (well, the brewery IS in Northampton), “Fire-Bellied Toad”, and maybe, just MAYBE, “Croak & Stagger”!
FRIDAY 24TH FEBRUARY:
“Farmers’ Market” The “last-Friday-of-the-month” market joins Feastival. Market Square, Stony Stratford - 8-2pm. A fine selection of organic meats, breads, juices, vegetables, plus home-made pies, pickles, and meals.
FRIDAY 24TH FEBRUARY:
“Girls Night Out – Not A Beer About” The Bull Hotel, High Street, Stony Stratford. 7 – 11.30pm. Jackie and Clare (who are “De-Luscious”) invite you to a mainly (but certainly not exclusively) girls’ evening of cocktails, canapés and danceable salsa beats. (Actually, there will be beer for those who want it). £10, includes canapés and a drink on arrival. Phone 01908 567104.
FRIDAY 24th & SATURDAY 25th FEBRUARY:
“7th Cock & Bull Real Beer Festival” York House Centre, London Road, Stony Stratford, MK111 JQ, noon – 11.pm both days. HIGHLY popular little beer festival with 20 local-ish beers, 5 ciders (two from Milton Keynes!) and a perry. PLUS Fairtrade wines and juices, Enilce’s delicious albondigas, and on Saturday night a little jolly music from ‘BeJazzled’.
Proceeds to York House Centre (Stony’s only publicly owned community centre). FREE ENTRY!

“Fairtrade Fortnight” Promoting ethically-sourced produce, the local Fairtrade group traditionally has its launch at the Beer Festival in York House. Come and buy, to drink there or to take home. York House Centre, London Road, Stony Stratford, MK111 JQ; noon – 11.pm both days.
SATURDAY 25th FEBRUARY:
“RSPCA Shop Produce Sale”, Church Street, Stony Stratford; 10am–2.00pm. Home-made cakes, jams, chutneys, pet treats…. available for sale in a good cause.

“English & French Food Market” 9am – 3pm. A Feastival special at the regular market venue: mouth-watering food available in the delightful surroundings of Odell’s Courtyard. A heady mixture of local and authentic French produce will be available.

“Timor Court Market” (It’s just off the High Street by NatWest bank) - 9am to 4pm. The regular market with The Happy Carrot’s fruit and vegetables, the pie-man, the olive-man, the coffee- & tea-man, the plant&flower-man, and the fresh-fish-man (and lady!).

“Traditional Afternoon Tea” The Bull Hotel, High Street, Stony Stratford. 2.30 – 5.00pm. De-Luscious presents a tea like Grandma used to serve, with cake-stands, doilies and proper china. £6.00 per person. Phone 01908 567104.
