Young People

There's loads to do in and around Stony town, Fullers Slade and Galley Hill if you know where to look!

Youth clubs for all ages are run at York House Centre on London Road, Stony Stratford.

Stony Stratford Football Club Under 9s teamSome of the local sports clubs run courses and teams for kids and young people. If you're into playing basketball in Fullers Slade or on Wolverton Rd Rec, check out what courses MK Lions are offering in the area.  You can also go for a swim at the Watling Way Pool in Galley Hill.

There's lots to do after school and during the holidays for kids at Stony Stratford Children's Playcentre, Stony Stratford.  If you're a teenager, you might want to think about becoming a Junior Volunteer Worker at the centre.  It's a great way of helping out with the kids and meeting new friends.  There are also great opportunities for you to do voluntary work if you're 13-25 at other places around Milton Keynes by joining MAD.

If you're into drama, singing or dancing find out what Myra Tiffin Performing Arts School and Stagecoach have to offer.  Both centres run courses in Stony either during the week or on the weekends.

Find out what's on at MK Parks Trust if you like the outdoors.  Recent local activities included crayfishing on the river at the Millfield in Stony Stratford.

There's plenty to do for all ages. A Youth Partnership meets approximately every few months to provide a channel of communication for people involved in youth provision. It also plans new initiatives for young people in Stony Stratford, Fullers Slade and Galley Hill. For more information contact Judy Deveson via the Town Council.

If you have a great idea to organise a new community event or club for kids or young people, Stony Stratford Town Council may be able to help you fund it.  Click here to find out more.
