History
York House Centre is a well-used Youth, Community and Arts Centre and is a short walk from Stony Stratford town centre. We are a registered charity which is run by a volunteer Board of Trustees with some part-time administration and cleaning staff.

Youth Clubs
Junior Youth Clubs
(funded by Stony Stratford Town Council) started in November 2008 on Monday evenings. The club provides fun activities for children aged 8 - 12 years. Membership is FREE for the first year (booking essential).
8 - 10 Years 6.00pm - 7.30pm
Years 7 and 8 (Plus 11 year olds from Year 6) 7.30pm - 9.00pm

York House has rooms for hire including:-
• Main Hall (up to 150 people) with bar area, kitchen and ample parking - popular for parties, events and club meetings (reduced rates for children’s parties)
• Rooms for meetings, functions, workshops and classes (various sizes)
• The Space - a soundproofed music rehearsal room with PA system and tea & coffee making facilities
• Office Space for Lease

We also have a keen and friendly group of fundraising volunteers who hold Coffee Mornings and other fundraising events and carry out minor maintenance / building improvement projects. We are always looking for new volunteers, all welcome!
In line with our charitable objectives we aim to attrac
t a diverse range of arts activities to the building. York House Centre is the home of the Stony Stratford Lantern Project, an annual community project to make lanterns for the procession at the Stony Stratford Christmas Lights Switch-On Day. Other arts activities include The Wow Factory children’s art workshops, annual Young Pavement Artist Competition and Stony Stratford Arts Society.
The Grade II Listed Building dates from c.1850 and has recently undergone major underpinning repairs (funded by WREN, MK Community Foundation and SEEDA), the installation of a new rear door (funded by Grantscape) and electrical work (funded by Stony Stratford Town Council).
