If you have images of baking cakes and making jams when you think of WI meetings then it’s time to think again! Take a look at the Stony Stratford Evening WI.
Our group, newly formed in 2009, has really exciting speakers and social trips throughout the year. Just a couple of presentations from last year were a Hoop Dancing specialist encouraging us to have a go and an enlightening talk on Aromatherapy. 2010 looks to be every bit as much fun with food demonstrations, a garden designer and a trip to the theatre to name a few.
We meet in the Crown public house, Market Square, Stony Stratford every second Thursday of each month at 8pm, so if you fancy a tipple or a hot chocolate there is plenty of choice. If you are interested in a fun night out with a sociable group of ladies then come along to the upstairs function room of the Crown where everyone is welcome as a new member or just drop in as a visitor and pay £2.50 on the door.

Why not make your
New Year’s Resolution to join us..?
Stony Stratford Evening WI has a packed programme of speakers and trips for 2011 so why not start the New Year by joining our group of sociable ladies and have a fun night out?
Our first meeting is on Thursday 13th January when we will be joined by Leigh Adley, who runs her own hypnotherapy company. Leigh will be giving a talk called “Set Your Mind Free”, which outlines the history of hypnotherapy, how it works, treatment areas and latest research.
Upcoming meetings include:
Thursday 10th February – focus on Emergency teams in Sudan, explaining how teams deal with nutrition crises.
Thursday 10th March – the history of Bletchley Park and its important role in WW2.
SSEWI was established in 2009 and meet every second Thursday of each month at 8pm in the upstairs function room, The Crown Public House, Market Square, Stony Stratford.
Please come along where you will be made most welcome as a new member or just drop in as a visitor and pay £2.50 on the door.
