Stony AHA ! Arts & Heritage Appreciation of Stony town week

 The Stony Stratford Business Association is promoting Stony AHA ! an Arts & Heritage Appreciation in the town. This coincides with Arts & Heritage Open Places which is being promoted across Milton Keynes by MK Council.

There are a wide range of activities planned throughout Stony Stratford including a Treasure Trail, History Hunt, Art Exhibitions by the Stony Stratford Arts Society and The Stani Gallery, a “Drawing on History” Workshop by Jonny Boatfield, a “History of English Wine” talk and tasting at The Stony Wine Emporium, Heritage displays by the WI and Stony Reminiscence Group as well as Art Displays at Morgan Gilder, The Fox & Hounds, Skills, Ray Borley Dunkley and various other venues.

In addition, there are Markets at Odell’s Yard, a programme of talks at The Church as well as on Haye’s Boatyard by FOSSL in The Library ; music at The Fox and Hounds, The Crown and The Cock Hotel ; with many businesses along the high street also taking part by exhibiting pieces of art and heritage in their shop windows.

There are also a number of heritage, riverside and town walks available through the historic town of Stony Stratford combined with free car parking to make your visit very easy to arrange with plenty to do when you get here !

We are looking for expressions of interest from businesses and/or individuals to:

- Place some art work or display heritage items in your shop window or office reception area

- Hold a suitably themed event or activity during the week

- Be willing to hold a talk on a relevant topic

- Be the sponsor of some children's art workshops that need funding

- Offer to provide a venue

- Offer to help in any way you can!
