Annual Events

Stony Stratford hosts a wide range of popular events throughout the year, attracting visitors throughout the region.    StonyLive! is a 7 day festival of the arts and community activities held at various venues throughout the town.   Folk on the Green is the town's annual musical extravaganza held on Horsefair Green in June. 

The Town Fayre is a great day out on August Bank Holiday with many stalls and attractions.  The popular Christmas Light Switch On Fun Day is held in late November or early December.   Don't forget StonyWords!, a January festival of words to beat the winter blues! 

An all year round event is Stony in Bloom, winning a GOLD award in the Regional finals 2010 and 2011. The town was  selected to enter the National Britain in Bloom final in 2011 where it achieved a SILVER award.  The judges may come to the town in July and August but the community works all year round to make our town a great place to live, work and visit.  In 2009, Stony in Bloom won the Best Regional Community Involvement award for its role in reaching all parts of our community.
